Sustainability isn’t a marketing trend at DynaGroup — it’s a responsibility we take seriously. As demand for timber continues to grow across Australia’s construction, landscaping, and infrastructure sectors, the way our forests are managed today will determine the strength of the industry tomorrow.
That’s why 100% of DynaGroup’s pine resource is sourced from FSC-approved local plantations managed by HQ Plantations. These plantations form a critical part of Queensland’s renewable timber supply and are managed with long-term environmental, economic, and social outcomes in mind.

HQ Plantations manages more than 310,000 hectares of plantation forests across Queensland, supplying timber that is grown, harvested, and replanted right here in Australia. Their approach ensures that Australian-grown timber remains a viable, sustainable building material — not just today, but for generations to come.
A key part of sustainable forestry is understanding that forests are not depleted — they are continuously renewed. Each year, only 2–3% of plantation forests are harvested, allowing the vast majority of forests to continue growing and storing carbon. Harvested areas are replanted as part of a carefully managed cycle designed to maintain forest health and productivity over the long term.
Independent oversight also plays a critical role. These plantations are subject to ongoing certification by globally recognised, independent bodies, ensuring strict standards are met across environmental management, biodiversity protection, and operational practices. This transparency gives builders, suppliers, and end users confidence that the timber they’re using comes from responsibly managed sources.
Replanting is another essential pillar of sustainability. Each year, billions of seedlings are grown and planted to replace harvested trees, ensuring forests remain productive and renewable. This cycle supports local jobs, regional communities, and a resilient supply chain while reducing reliance on imported timber.
At DynaGroup, supporting sustainably managed Australian forestry means supporting the future of the construction industry itself. By partnering with responsible plantation managers and prioritising certified local resources, we’re helping ensure timber remains a strong, renewable, and trusted building material across Australia.
