HQ Plantations manages more than 310,000 hectares of plantation forests across Queensland, supplying timber that is grown, harvested, and replanted right here in Australia. Each year, only 2–3% of plantation forests are harvested, allowing the vast majority of forests to continue growing and storing carbon. These plantations are subject to ongoing certification by globally recognised, independent bodies, ensuring strict standards are met across environmental management, biodiversity protection, and operational practices. Replanting is another essential pillar of sustainability. Each year, billions of seedlings are grown and planted to replace harvested trees, ensuring forests remain productive and renewable.
