When it comes to treated timber, the treatment process doesn’t end when the timber leaves the treatment vessel.
At Dyna Group, we follow a carefully managed drying and storage process to ensure the treatment chemicals fully fixate within the timber before it reaches our customers. This is a critical step in producing a high-quality treated timber product.
Why is fixation important?
Following treatment, the preservative chemicals require time to bond with the timber fibres. This process, known as fixation, helps ensure the chemicals remain locked within the timber, preventing leaching or chemical transfer during normal handling and use.

Our controlled drying process
To achieve this, every piece of treated timber follows a strict post-treatment process:
- Stage 1: Timber is stored in a dedicated self-bunded drying facility for more than 24 hours immediately after treatment.
- Stage 2: It is then transferred to a covered storage facility for a further 24 hours or more, allowing the fixation process to continue under controlled conditions.
Only after this process is complete is the timber released from our dedicated drying facilities.
Quality you can rely on
Taking the time to properly dry and fixate treated timber is just one of the many quality assurance measures built into our manufacturing process.
It’s part of Dyna Group’s commitment to supplying treated timber that has been processed correctly, handled responsibly, and prepared to the highest standards before it reaches builders, merchants and end users.
